From Vietnam to Australia: The third Congress of Our Lady of La Vang

In 1798, the Canh Thinh Emperor issued a ban on Catholicism resulting in many having to seek refuge in the remote mountainous areas of central Vietnam’s Quang Tri province, called La Vang.

According to legend, the Lady of La Vang appeared as an apparition, in the branches of a tree where the faithful had been sheltering.
