SYDNEY – Police say a man is in a stable condition after he was shot repeatedly on a suburban street in Sydney’s south.
The 23-year-old man was shot in the upper thighs and abdomen on Wollongong Road in Arncliffe just before 5.40pm yesterday.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transferred to St George Hospital, where he is under police guard. A spokeswoman for the hospital said the man was in a critical but stable condition.
At least two men reportedly approached the victim and opened fire before fleeing.
A crime scene has been established and the investigation continues.
