A local classical pianist has led a charity concert in Melbourne’s Avondale Heights.

Guests were treated to pianist Ann Anh-Thu Nguyen’s spectacular performance of a Mozart Piano trio at the Winter Warmers Concert on Wednesday night.

Violinist Maxim Sheko, flautist Alyse Faith, and celloists Daming Tan and Taiching Chiu also took to the stage set up in St Martin de Porres parish church.

To end the show, all five students from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music joined forces to perform George Bizet’s Melodies from Carmen.

The concert raised a total of $5,800 dollars, of which all profits will be directed into the Vincent Orphanage of the Minority People in Kontum, Vietnam.
