Vietnam’s president Tran Dại Quang has met with Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Wednesday, during a three-day state visit to the Communist island.
According to Cuban state-run TV, the two leaders discussed economic and social development.
They agreed the meeting strengthened the friendship between their countries.
The Vietnamese president will later pay a visit to the Cuban President Raul Castro and is set to receive Cuba’s Order of Jose Marti, the highest honour granted by the Cuban government to foreigners.
