A national hotline to receive environmental complaints has been launched by the Vietnam Environment Administration.

The hotline – which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays – encourages the public to report waste discharge and environmental pollution.

Any information received will then be sent to the relevant agencies to be verified and inspected.

The launch of the hotline follows an increasing number of pollution cases and environmental incidents nationwide.

The administration will soon publicise the hotline numbers of provinces and cities. Meanwhile, the national hotline number is 086.900.0660 and the email address is  [email protected].
