A man has been mauled to death by a tiger while feeding it at a breeding farm in the southern Vietnamese province of Binh Duong.
State media reports the 120-kilogram female tiger attacked 40-year-old Luong Van Hai on Friday at the farm in Binh An Commune, Di An Town, owned by the Pacific Beer Company.
According to VnExpress, the company’s representative, Luong Thien Dan, said Hai had 20 years experience taking care of tigers.
Dan, who is also the victim’s relative, said it remained unclear what upset the tigress, which is over 10-years-old.
The company currently houses a total of 16 tigers.
It is one of three companies, along with Dai Nam Theme Park and Thanh Canh tourism resort, that are allowed to raise tigers on a trial basis in the province.
