The brothers climbed the steps of the Cathedral of Girona on Thursday, with one sibling balanced atop the other using only head-to-head contact.
The cathedral is famous as one of the locations where popular American TV show “Game of Thrones” was filmed, AFP reports.
The Vietnamese artists managed to break the record by scaling 90 stairs in 52 seconds. The previous record was held by Chinese duo Tang Tao and Su Zengxian, who climbed 25 stairs in one minute using the same technique in September 2014.
According to state media outlets, the Giang Brothers are among Vietnam’s most renowned circus artists, having won internationally recognition for various technically-demanding stunts using their arms and hands.
