Vietnamese lottery company, Vietlott, has announced a new winner of a jackpot worth VNĐ71 billion ($A4.23 million).

The lucky numbers for the prize in Sunday’s draw are 11-23-25-34-36-45.

The winner has 60 days to claim the prize and become the third winner, within the space of one month, of the Mega 6/45 in Vietnam.

On November 2, another player from the southern province of Dong Nai had won a jackpot of VNĐ65 billion, the equivalent of $A3.8 million. The player claimed his prize in Ho Chi Minh City last Tuesday and received over VNĐ58 billion after paying tax on Wednesday.

Before that, a person from the Mekong Delta’s Tra Vinh Province won VNĐ92 billion ($A5.4 million) on October 16.

Vietlott’s Mega 6/45 is Vietnam’s newest computerised game-style lottery, the first of its kind in the country.

Players choose six numbers from 1 to 45, and the winning jackpot ticket has the matching combination of numbers.

The American-style jackpot game has quickly gained popularity in the country, with each ticket costs the around 60 cents in Australian dollars.

Other lottery companies have since increased their top prizes in an effort to compete.
