This is a special edition of TiVi Tuan-san’s Vietnamese program called “Mạn Đàm Với Nghệ Sĩ Melbourne,” which highlights the work of Vietnamese artists in Melbourne.

Tan Hai Nguyen hosts the talk show in English with guests Damian Biasillo and Michelle Dekker, featuring songwriter Hong-Anh Nguyen.

To mark the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, Hong-Anh performs five of his songs in English titled: Deceitful Peace, The Caged Bird, God Has to Know, Everybody Wanna Go Away and Boat People Dance.

Now 42 years later, both Tan Hai and Hong-Anh reflect on their lives before and after the Vietnam War, also explaining their experiences as former boat people who came and found a new home in Australia.
