Former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali had died age 71 following a short battle with a respiratory illness.
Ali, who had long suffered from Parkinson’s syndrome, was hospitalized in a Phoenix hospital for a respiratory issue on Thursday and later died on Saturday.
He is one of the best-known figures of the 20th century for his record-setting boxing career, unprecedented flair for showmanship and controversial stand.
