At least two people have been killed and more than a dozen others have been injured in a mass shooting at a Florida nightclub, according to US media reports.

The incident is reported to have happened at Club Blu in Fort Myers at around 1am local time, during a “teen night” event.

The Fort Myers Police Department has confirmed that two people were fatally shot and “at least 14-16” wounded, NBC News reported.

Police are currently at the scene and roads in the area have been sealed off.

Last month, the American state was rocked when a lone gunman went on a rampage in an Orlando nightclub, leaving 49 dead and more than 50 others wounded.
