Harriet Wran, the youngest daughter of former New South Wales premier Neville Wran, has pleaded guilty to being an accessory to murder.
The guilty plea came on what was supposed to be the first day of Wran’s trial for murdering drug dealer Daniel McNulty, 48, at a Redfern housing commission block, on August 10, 2014.
The Crown withdrew the murder charge and 28-year-old Wran pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of being an accessory.
The NSW Supreme Court heard the charge related to harbouring, maintaining and assisting her former boyfriend Michael Lee, knowing he had killed McNulty.
Today, Wran also admitted to robbing Redfern man Brett Fitzgerald, who was wounded during the botched robbery, of $650.
Wran’s co-accused Lloyd Edward Haines and Michael Lee, both pleaded guilty last month to murder and robbery in company causing wounding and grievous bodily harm.
They will reappear in court again on July 8.
Wran, who has already spent two years in custody, will face a sentencing hearing on July 14.
