Hundreds of people gathered for the official unveiling of a new Vietnam War memorial at Kevin Wheelahan Gardens in Sunshine on Saturday, December 12.
The garden was already home to an avenue that honours the veterans from the Sunshine District who served in World War One.
The newest addition of the Vietnam War memorial pays tribute to the 521 Australians who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
It was organised by the Vietnamese Community Association in partnership with Brimbank City Council, Sunshine and Footscray RSL, and various Vietnamese Veterans Associations of Australia.
