Aussie politicians attend the 2018 Tet festival as election campaigns begin

As Australia’s state elections draw nearer, this year’s Lunar New Year festival at the Melbourne Showgrounds saw many Victorian politicians attend the annual celebration over the weekend.

With most party leaders commending the Vietnamese community for their remarkable growth and contribution to the Australian society, the theme of this year’s event was about “making your mark” and recognising the significant talents from second and third generation Vietnamese-Australians.

The Tet festival ran over two days, from Saturday to Sunday. (January 3-4)
