Police say they believe three siblings who went missing from Adelaide’s southern suburbs on Wednesday evening are with their parents.
Ethan Lawson, 12, Jayden Lawson, 10, and Sienna Dodd, 6, were last seen running away from football training at Bice Oval, Christies Beach, at 6pm.
Superintendent Ian Parrott told reporters this morning there were still concerns for the children’s welfare.
“We believe they may be with people known to them,” he said.
“Police are repeating their appeal for information about the whereabouts of the children.”
Superintendent Parrott has also urged the children’s parents, Dylan and Chantelle Lawson, to make contact with authorities.
“We’re not concerned in terms of their physical harm but we are concerned in terms of their longer-term well-being and welfare,” he said.
“This situation is not a stranger incident and there is no danger to the community.”
The children had been in alternative care before they were dropped off at football training.
A police incident room has been established for the investigation.
Anyone who sees the children or knows of their whereabouts is asked to call the police assistance line immediately on 131 444 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
