The 17-year-old’s remains were found in the Lerderberg State Park in Bacchus Marsh on March 10. The death has been treated as suspicious.
Detectives are searching the area with SES today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Rhodes has appealed for public help, especially from anyone who visited the park.
“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the Lerderderg State Park since 20 December last year,” he said.
“Someone out there knows who is responsible for Cayleb’s death and we are appealing for them to come forward and contact police.
“Cayleb’s family deserve some answers in relation to this horrific tragedy.”
Cayleb was last seen in a blue Ford Falcon XR6 sedan leaving a party at a house in The Crescent at Highett in Melbourne’s south-east.
Police later found the car at Crown Casino carpark in Southbank on Saturday January 16 at 1pm.
